We follow traditional methods of finding well qualified candidates
and focus on mid to senior management positions. Though our recruitment
services can be tailored, once engaged we take the following steps:
1. In depth client meeting. Our assigned consultant will meet
with you to gain a clear understanding of your specific need.
There are two key elements to this stage firstly, to get a full
understanding of your company and the industry it is in, so that
we can establish the working environment in which the prospective
candidate will work. Secondly, it enables us to agree on a specific
job description for the position you are seeking to fill.
2. We then begin to target potential candidates for the vacant
position. We use a number of techniques to identify candidates,
whose credentials match the vacant position, including: searching
our extensive in-house resume database, posting the opening on
the RSM Nelson Wheeler corporate website and where necessary,
we propose the placing of a specific advertisement to maximize
the reach for potential candidates.
3. We then carry out in depth interviews of prospective candidates
at our offices. We seek to compare candidates against the agreed
criteria, specifically assessing their strengths, weaknesses,
aspirations and language/communication skills. A shortlist of
qualified candidates is created and references are checked.
4. The short listed candidates are then presented to you along
with our written report providing an overview of their credentials
and our specific recommendations. Our consultant will then assist
in setting up the final interviews.
5. Once a candidate has been selected, using our knowledge of
the market, we can assist in negotiating a competitive and equitable
compensation package from both yours and the candidate's point
of view. We also follow up with the successful candidate during
their probationary period to ensure a smooth transition into their
new job.
